Grab Ores

Oxygen Tanks and Belts Guide

Grab Ores oxygen tank and belt upgrade guide - extend dive time, climb faster, and run efficient cave loops.

Why Oxygen Is Your Real Timer

Every Grab Ores descent is a race against your oxygen tank. The moment you leave the surface, the timer starts. Veterans treat each run like a timed event: sink fast, grab high-value pairs, merge when safe, and resurface before the tank empties.

Weights alone are not enough. If you reach Emerald Abyss with a starter tank, you will die mid-climb and waste the haul. Pair every weight upgrade with the next oxygen tier.

Oxygen Tank Upgrade Path

Community-tested tanks progress roughly: Starter → Ruby → Amethyst → Emerald → Rose. Buy the next tank as soon as you can afford it after your current weight unlock.

  • Starter Tank - only a few seconds; force short Surface/Copper loops
  • Ruby Tank - first real extension for Silver Depths farming
  • Amethyst Tank - comfortable Platinum Tunnel merge runs
  • Emerald Tank - supports Emerald Abyss with time to grab chests
  • Rose Tank - Ruby Chasm and Diamond Core pushes

Belts: The Underrated Climb Upgrade

Belts increase climb speed back to the surface. Early players ignore them and spend minutes walking up after every dive. A mid-tier belt often pays for itself in one session by multiplying successful loops per hour.

Buy a belt after your second weight upgrade. If oxygen is fine but you feel stuck in long ascents, belt before the next weight tier.

Efficient Dive Loop

  1. Check the Fossil at base for a free ore or gem
  2. Descend with weights matching your target layer
  3. Grab merge pairs and high-tier chests only if oxygen allows return
  4. Merge duplicates underground only when safe
  5. Climb with belt speed, deposit to vault, refresh oxygen, repeat

Oxygen Mistakes to Avoid

  • Chasing Mega/Royal chests with under 20% oxygen
  • Pushing a new depth layer before buying the matching tank
  • Skipping belts and losing loops per hour
  • Holding Stone/Marble instead of selling for tank cash

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I buy oxygen or weight first?
Unlock the next depth with weight, then buy oxygen so you can farm that layer safely. Never skip oxygen when pushing 150m+.
When should I buy a belt?
After your second weight upgrade, or sooner if climbs feel slower than descents.
What happens if oxygen runs out?
You take damage and risk losing the run haul. Turn around early rather than dying deep.
